Why APPProof Doesn’t Publish Star Ratings

Star ratings feel decisive, but they hide the only question that matters: what could actually be verified? A platform can be beautifully designed and still conceal its operator. Another can look dated and document everything. Both would average out to three stars, and the number would tell you nothing.

So APPProof publishes evidence states instead. Research statuses describe what our documentation covers. Risk signals list specific, checkable findings. Where information is missing, we say so plainly — because “we could not verify this” is more useful to you than a confident-looking score.

It is a slower way to publish. It is also the only honest one we have found.
